Crowned (Print)

"Crowned"

Matthew 27:27–31

They dressed Him in scarlet.

They placed a reed in His hand.

And they pressed a crown of thorns upon His head.

Then they bowed before Him and laughed.

They crowned Him in mockery.

They thought the thorns were the joke.

They didn’t know who they were crowning.

The thorns themselves told a story.

They entered the world with the curse of sin.

Now they rested upon the head of the One who had come to bear that curse.

They mocked Him as King.

He was.
