Thy Will Be Done (Print)

“THY WILL BE DONE”
John 6:38 | Philippians 2:8
Artist's Reflection
Before the cross,
Jesus had already declared why He had come.
“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.”
— John 6:38 (KJV)
His obedience was not reserved for the final hours of His life.
It was present in His words.
In His works.
In every step toward the cross.
He did not merely endure what awaited Him.
He willingly obeyed the Father He loved.
Even when that obedience would lead Him into the hands of those who mocked Him.
Even when it would cost Him His life.
The crown was placed upon His head in mockery.
But His obedience was freely given.
He loved His Father.
And He did His will.
