The Ropes (original)

“The Ropes”

John 10: 17-18

They bound His hands.

They mocked Him.

They placed a crown of thorns upon His head.

They thought to shame him.

But do they know who stood before them?

Did they understand that the man they bound had willingly placed Himself into their hands?

Jesus had already told them the truth:

“No man taketh it from me, But I lay it down of myself.” -John 10:18

They believed they had made Him their prisoner.

But no man had taken His life.

No rope had kept Him there.

The roped around his wrists were never what held Him.
